Our Club was given the opportunity to move into the Housing Authority's Community Center in 2015. The partnership was a perfect fit, as the Club and Housing Authority are both passionate about providing for those who need them most.
The HERO Center is a 21,000-square-foot facility featuring classrooms, a computer lab, game room, and a gymnasium outfitted with batting cages, volleyball nets and two basketball courts. We began our efforts on September 14, 2006, in the Historic Liberty District Ralphe Bunche Community Center, a place we will always cherish.
Our growth brought us here, and every day we have more youth looking to find their path to a Great Future. We have continued a legacy of helping children started by club founders Ruel and Nell Houchens.
